Oil on canvas

The Missouri River, the longest in North America, winds through Montana’s vast landscapes, carving valleys and nourishing ecosystems that sustain a diverse array of wildlife, including bison. In places like the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge and the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, conservation efforts have reintroduced bison to their native habitat near the Missouri.
